Celestial Wedding: Another World Theme

Make your own unique invitations. Some invitation ideas that would suit this theme are: graphics of different planets such as Saturn, Jupiter, the Earth, etc. with some stars on a black background. Select a picture of the Milky-Way galaxy or a shot of the numerous stars in the night sky to use as the background on your wedding invitation. • Hang up glittery tulle or star-imprinted gossamer on walls and ceilings
  
  
• Your celestial wedding needs to feature planets, galaxies, etc. An easy way to do this is to decorate the room with space posters.
  
  
• Have the planets orbiting the room! Print out colored pictures of the planets and enlarge (2 prints per planet - one will have to be a reverse print). Glue a print to one side of poster board. Cut out the planet shape. Glue the matching print to the other side. Hang from the ceiling with tacks and fishing line.
  
  
• Hang foil cardboard stars from the ceiling. Use different size stars hung at different heights.
  
  
• Another easy and inexpensive option is to use moon and star shaped mylar balloons.
  
  
• Set up a 3D solar system on your main food table or gift table.
  
  
• Use table toppers (that just cover the top of the table) cut from star-imprinted gossamer or other similar fabric. If possible, use black or midnight blue colored table cloths underneath instead of white.

• Wrap celestial shaped chocolates or candies in tulle and tie off with gold cording.
  
  
• Place almonds, candies, soaps or other small favors together in star patterned favor bags.
  
  

• Play favorite songs with the names of the planets in the lyrics.
  
  
• If possible, set up a telescope and gaze at the stars in the night sky.
