Your bridal favors don't have to be large or expensive. Choose a token gift that reflects your wedding theme in some way.

Many favor ideas can easily be interchanged with various themes just by substituting a decoration or color on the item. So, if you find something that you like and is inexpensive, think of what ways you can make it work with your wedding theme.

What Is The Average Cost of Wedding Favors?

The rule of thumb is to allot about 3% of your total money toward these small gift tokens. You will need to know the approximate number of guests that will be attending your reception, then you will be better able to estimate the maximum amount of how much each favor can cost. The fewer guests that you have, the more expensive your favors can be, if you so choose.

Currently, the average cost of purchasing favors is approximately $1.25 to $3.50 each, although you can certainly find some nice favors for under $1.00. Again, keep in mind that the more guests you have, the more likely it is that you'll choose ones that are on the lower end of the price scale.

Often times you can make a comparable guest favor at a cheaper cost than when purchasing them, but that also depends on what you choose to give to your guests and how much time you're willing to spend making wedding favors on a budget. Sometimes it's just more practical to buy them.

Once the favors are completed, attach personalized tags or ribbons that have your names and wedding date printed on them. Some couples also like to add a small saying or verse to their tags as well to make them more personal.
