Wedding Color Theme Ideas: More Colors Than The Rainbow

Selecting a wedding color theme to base your marriage ceremony and reception around is a very simple and elegant way to plan a wedding. You are not tied to a particular object, but can use many different items that reflect the colors that you have chosen.

Color choices can range from vibrant and deep shades, to light and airy, soft pastel tones. Usually, the deeper colors are reserved for fall and winter weddings, while the lighter shades are used in spring and summer weddings. However, this is not a hard and fast rule.

For example, a winter wedding looks crisp and dazzling using bright white and ice blue shades, while a summer wedding is turned into a sophisticated event with the use of deep greens, woodland browns, and faded yellows. The key is to use colors that not only appeal to you, but work with the ambience of the theme that you are trying to create.
